So, Isidora and her Dad have begun there efforts to raise a little extra money for the trip to their National debut. They raised quite a bit in a short 1 1/2 hours on a Monday afternoon! This picture was taken in Northampton outside of Thornes Market. Lots of foot traffic there. A couple of times people stopped in a little group to listen. A friend of ours stopped by and donated generously, Thanks Tom!

Fundraising for Disney
The Pioneer Valley Fiddlers are going to Disney World in the fall of 2008. The group has been selling candles, washing cars, and playing concerts to raise money for the trip. The kids in the group are really excited to go! They will be playing all of 25 minutes once there but of course we'll be in Disney, so it won't matter that it is such a short concert! We'll spend a few days there having fun, going on rides and eating yummy food. Inshallah (God willing.)

Blueberry time!!!
It is blueberry season!!! It is definitely our favorite fruit picking season of the year. Isidora and I go over to Birdhaven Farm each July and pick and eat until we our buckets and bellies are full. This year we went with our friends Linda, Ruby and Ella. Unfortunately I forgot our camera. The view from the porch of the farm is stunning with fields of blueberries, and horses and mountains in the background. After about an hour of picking Linda, the girls and I sat on the porch enjoying a blueberry fudgecycle. Mmmm, it sounds odd but it is really yummy. And then the farmer, a nice man named John, gave the girls carrots to feed to the horses!
With all those blueberries we picked we may just make our own frozen smoothies and some muffins. Here is a sample of what we picked

And here is Keith who came for a visit this weekend. We haven't seen him in a dog's age! Aren't he and Izzy cute???
